Ancestors Property Issue ,

I my self Kiran s/o Shekar k , my grandfather is kannapa Mudaliyar, I have a doubt. there is property in our village in Vellore district it' was in name of my grand father he had buyed it from her sister . my grandfather had 9 children's , 5 daughters and 4son's but the property is been registered to their daughter name stating that he is donating his property to his daughter's . but without knowing to any of his son's . after me (grandson of kannapa Mudaliyar ) studying about the documents I got a slight doubt how can he donate to his daughter's without knowing to his son's . what if the same thing written/donated on the name of his son's instead of daughter's . plz clear my doubt regarding this is my questions plz clarify my doubt
