Who else are there in your family? whether it was his self acquired property? whether you are living in joint family set-up or living separately? But if you have apprehension that your father is going to sell this property you can file a suit for permanent injuction and can also file a suit for partition, wherein all the above things will be taken care-of according to law. Consult a local lawyer for the same.
