There is still a missing link in your question. How your Father had acquired the property? It is the question which could be containing the Reply. Was it ancestral or self acquired? Rani, 1. the facts provided by you are not sufficient to answer your query, 2. what was the status of the property, self-earned by your deceased father or ancestral? 3. whether he died intestate or left any WILL? if the property was ancestral or your father died intestate then you can claim a share in the property, else NOT
