1. The Hindu Succession Act, 1956, was amended in 2005 give daughters an equal share in parental property. In case of ancestral property, a daughter now has a share in it by virtue of birth, while self-acquired property is distributed as per the provisions of the will. 2. If the father passes away without a will, she has the same rights as the son in both ancestral and self-acquired property. 3. you, being the only child, is legally entitled to claim the inherited property but your father can give his share of the self-earned property to anyone,
You have to establish first that your grandparents procured the property and got it transferred in your father's name for certain unavoidable reasons. each one being the legal heirs of your Grandfather will get One share The second property which is under joint ownership with your Father can be gifted to you only then You can get the full ownership rights for the second property..
