i am a married daughter of my parents and live togethere with my parents and my also my married brother family.. my brother (married) stays in seperate portion taking care of his own family and i working as maid stay with parents taking care of parents ... my mother wants to give one portion of my fathers property which is seperate part of two room alone to me and i want to save money of stamp duty is there any way i can get this property named to me from my father with all safety measures so that in future my brother dont make issue of it and also my father not over turning this decision...

Is it a hereditary property? or self acquired?. Generally if she has legal heir title then, She can gift, her undivided share to you (1/3rd or 1/2) but can't define the boundary.. even if defined, it is not conclusive

Dear Sir, Parents during their lifetime they can gift away their respective self acquired properties in favour of any one or more than their children.

U can transfer the property portion in your name in blood relation...On that no stamp duty paid....And daughters right is equal in parents property.....otherwise contact me i will guide u....
