Hi, I am planning to a buy a plot in Yerappanahalli (near Kannur/Hennur), Bangalore. The property is newly formed layout and approved by Panchayat approved.DC conversion is done and have got BMDRA NOC and betterment charges are paid They have left enough space for amenities as well. But only thing is the layout is approved by Panchayat, In the blogs I read like Panchayat does not have any right to approve a layout. Like to know if I can buy the property if the title of the property is clear. Confused about if i may need to face issues in future because Panchayat does not have rights to approve a layout if it is true.

Panchayat approval is just an eye wash.. One who ready to take risk, they can use.. But Local Planning Authority headed by District collector accords sanction for layout plans.. besides for buildings BMDRA and Corporation approvals are needed..

Dear Shiva, there is no terminology as Panchayat approval as only the LPA has the authority to accord layout sanctions
