I have bought a flat in delhi. Registery is done already. However I have mentioned a cheque in that registery against the seller that is just to complete the amount. in reality i have already paod amount to seller in advance but amount is different so i did not mention that cheque. my question is ..will that cheque need to be cleared? if not , can registery be cancelled in any case? I don't want both- not to clear cheque and not to cancel registery...

This is my response to you: 1. The registry will not cancel your sale deed; 2. The cheque will need to be cleared from your end otherwise the seller can file a case against you; 3. Ask the seller to issue you a receipt for full payment done; 4.If he does not provide receipt then it may affect your interest and rights on the property;
