I am living in a 3bhk flat for last 4 years. For 2 years I have been voluntarily renewing the agreement with the landlord but the last agreement ceased to exist this May 2019. After that the landlord did not renew the agreement. As I found a new apartment for rental (available only on immediate possession only), I have informed the same to my current landlord about it and informed him on 12th August, that I will vacate the house by end of August 2019. The landlord disagreed the said period and said you need to give 2 months notice before vacating. He asked us to pay for 2 months and leave if you I really want to leave by 30th August. Please advice me what should be done. I cannot pay him for 2 months

Issue a Legal Notice. Check the agreement if such a clause is mentioned, where you are required to provide 2 Month Notice period.

You can vacate the house by giving 15 days notice period to the landlord. Before vacating the house take pictures of the rooms to stop landlord from claiming damages from you.

Get issue a legal notice and vacate the house. If you have no advance amount with him then he cannot do anything.
