I booked a flat in Rohan Abhilasha in Wagholi, Pune in 2015. the builder was supposed to give possession in May'17 but has not been delivered yet. Some payments were delayed from our end and they are asking an interest of 5lakhs for that. however, they are completely ignoring the fact that they delayed the possession date. Moreover, on 20th Feb'18, one of their associates confirmed to me on email final payment (amount excl interest) but now they are saying they confirmed only the principal and hence interest is still payable. They are doing this with other buyers as well. Need advise on that.

You'll be praying for the same interest on your payments from the date of payments as the builder is charging from you if their is delay at your end according to indian contrsct act

File a case in consumer court according to your jurisdiction(pecunary and territorial). File a case for delay in possessionand pray for compensation and alternately pray for refund too to presurise the builder, if all the flat buyers come together then you can file a complaint in NCDRC under section*Phone*c) of consumer protection act*Phone*That will be a speedy proceess as builder wont get more chances for appeals
