I took the rented room from nestaway in March. I was not able to live there more than a day due to lockdown. I paid the rent till July. As nestaway asked me to vacant the room as the owner terminated the contract with nestaway. So I moved out on 1 August. As nestaway took 20000 security deposit from me, and they have not returned it till now. I used asked them about this problem so they deleted my Profile and all details from their server. But before 1 day of this, I took all the screenshots and everything. What I should do to get my Security deposit back.

Your decision to vacate the room despite paying regular rent was wrong decision as because you are not a defaulter the owner under no circumstances can compel you to vacate the room. Moreover now a days every thing should proceed by hand to hand exchange. Before you vacating the room you should take the deposit money into your hand, However now you have no option but to take shelter of court for which you will have to wait for unlimited years. Fault lies with you..
