The house that I currently stay in was jointly held by my Father and Mother. Now, After the demise of my father, how can I get the property transferred in the name of my mother and me in a manner that my brother (we are two brothers) or his wife/children can not raise any claim in the future on the property. The property was bought by my father with his own income and not ancestral. Also, he passes away suddenly due to illness and had not created any will.

Since the Property has flown to your Mother from your Father. But it has got to be transferred to all the Class-I legal heirs of your deceased Father. It is noteworthy that no Class-I Legal heirs can be left out of it legally. Even Your Mother cannot deny the Legal right to Your Brother. It is the exact Legal position.
