My suggestion to you try to settle the case through a compromise deed in the court mediation itself, personally i do not recommend apology letter as it can be used agaoinst you for blacklisting you in your career else you can put a clause in it if your employer uses it publically or anywhere else he will be liable for defamation and appropriate legal action as per law. Still, go for compromise deed instead of apology letter in the form of MOU.

Dear Radhika, Kindly ask your employer to settle it in the Court Mediation and before giving your apologies, it must be come in writing by the court as what purpose you are tendering your apology. Be careful and settle it in the Court Mediation Center where all terms will be recorded like your employer will not misuse such apology etc. I hope you understand me.
