My father in law was working as senior manager( scale-3 officer) in UCO Bank before demise. His younger son applied for a job on the compassionate ground but the competent authority declined the request of the job with the words"the family of the deceased employee is not indigent and has no financial destitution, as such, declined the request of the applicant." The family has four members, a mother, two sons, a daughter (married). No earning member in the family and all depends on the family pension provided by the bank. What should we do?

The compassionate ground for employment has certain specific grounds.. But it seems that proper representation has not been made..Get another Representation filed and hopefully it will be done. As you have stated I find that the reasons given for refusing the compassionate appointment is not proper and valid. A writ under article 226 of the Constitution of India can be filed in the High Court for getting the relief.
