if u know the Land Survey number u can get encumbrance certificate and where the document numbers wil be mentioned and u can apply and get certified copies from registration dept. u can file FIR for document missing and certify a copy which wil be treated as original.. This is the procedure here TN. In Jammu there may be some difference
