I have a home loan on me from HDFC for a property which I have my name on the registration since I did the registration when I was not married. Now after my marriage, I want to add my wife in the registration/ownership as well as in my home loan so that she can also pay the home loan. I am looking for legal advice on this.

Dear Ansu It is advisable to transfer a portion/area of your property in your wife favour. You can do the same either by executing Gift deed or sale deed. You have to follow same procedure what you had done while registering your previous one. You can't add your wife's name in your existing sale deed.
