Question On Inheriting A Property

Hi, My Grandfather has a property in Chennai. It is willed and registered in favor of the father. Post my grandfather's death, the will is probated with the High Court. When I take an EC, the transfer from my Grandfather to my Father is not reflected. Is this normal that EC doesn't carry the transfer of property through will? Or is there any additional paperwork we need to do in the registrar's office that my father missed?
