The sale deed of the house has fewer areas mentioned than the actual area. The seller has sold the house a decade ago but the heir of the seller is threatening to file a case claiming that the remaining area (actual area - area mentioned in the sale deed) is theirs. The sale deed mentions no vacant plot or boundary being shared or in the name of the seller. Though the house is built on more areas than it's mentioned in the sale deed. Do they have any claim over the remnant land or any part of the house?

Have you got the land You purchased demarcated so as to ascertain the actual and factual position at the spot. Secondly, if the transaction took place a decade ago and as on date it has attained finality. The Seller has now has no claims over the land sold by his ancestors being barred by limitation. It must have been mentioned in the Sale Deed. You have a good case and if any descendant of the former seller comes for any Claim will be defeated and you will succeed.
