My family inherited a property originally purchased by my late predecessor ('A') from 'B'. Following the conveyance, 'B' continued occupying the premises without vacating or paying rent, despite the property being governed by the regional Pagdi system. Both original parties have since deceased, and as the legal heir of 'A', I am currently in litigation with 'B's heirs. The matter is presently pending before the High Court; however, we are experiencing severe procedural delays due to infrequent hearing assignments and deliberate non-appearance by the respondents. With over 22 years of unpaid rent and unfulfilled property possession, what procedural mechanisms, urgent interim applications, or legal strategies can we leverage within the Indian judicial system to expedite a final resolution and enforce our financial and property rights?
