    During maternity leave, the company cannot expect you to perform any official work, including signing documents or replying to work emails. It violates the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961. Send a written email/letter (through lawyer) clearly stating you are on maternity leave and cannot perform any duties or sign documents Request them to appoint an alternative authorized signatory immediately.
