We had issued the security cheque and vendor suddenly deposited for his closing balance without account reconciliation with us without prior information. Company knows that business had stopped and they have been continues getting payment against their outstanding. What's the legal remedy for us and we are willing to pay part payment monthly basis. Can anyone guide us further.

1. File complain of cheque lost in local police station and name this person in police station for having doubts on him. 2. Issue him notice through lawyer for return of your cheque from his custody. 3 . Let him to present the cheque in bank. 4. If cheque got bounce then he will send you notice through lawyer on your address. 5. After that reply that notice through lawyer as per your theory.
